With the launch of the Apple iPad 3G just hours away now, we have learned that the Apple Retail stores will be closed for one hour tomorrow from 4 to 5 PM to prepare for the launch. Since the launch of the iPad Wi-Fi model earlier this month attracted a fair share of large lines outside of Apple retail stores, it seems like Apple is taking some extra precautions this time in order to keep things in order. Maybe to avoid another incident like the customer who had his iPad snatched from his hands minutes after purchasing it?
There are more than likely to be some big crowds across the country either way, but we thought we would give you the heads up. We will keep you updated on the inevitable unboxings that follow the release of the device later today.
