There have been many references to the next iteration of the iPhone including HD video capabilities and possibly even being named the “iPhone HD”, opposed to the more logical “iPhone 4G” that most others assume it will be called. However, today we have some more proof coming from lines of code found within the latest iPhone SDK, iPhone OS 4 SDK beta 3, which was released to developers yesterday.
While the following lines of code certainly don’t guarantee HD video capture capabilities, it definitely does point towards the iPhone getting a better camera in the near future.
AVCaptureSessionPreset640x480
AVCaptureSessionPreset1280x720
We already know that the next iPhone would include a better camera with a flash, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the next iPhone is HD video ready and possibly even touted as the “iPhone HD”.
